Hi everyone
We just want to update you with regards the 4th of July date that is being bandied about.
We understand some businesses are taking bookings from this date and although we can’t blame them for doing this as we totally understand all everyone wants is to get organised and get back to some sort of normality.
We are especially desperate to just re-open and get back to work. However, we have opted not to start arranging our appointments just yet and these are just some of our reasons why.
1) With the 4th of July still being stated as the EARLIEST possible date Hair Salons will re-open and not a definite date we simply have too many clients to try and arrange only to get put back again and be left rearranging.
We hope you understand the organisation of these appointments are NOT something we can just guess at, they will take a lot of time and patience from everyone to get everyone’s
appointments scheduled and certainly not something we want to be repeating.
2) All staff at KW including myself are currently furloughed and will remain to be until we have a definite date.
This obviously makes the arranging of appointments very difficult until The Team are back in work and with no definite date this is simply impossible to do just yet.
3) Before we can open the book we also need the confirmation of the Government Guidelines.
Why do we need these?
The guidelines are absolutely crucial.
We need to know if a stylist can have 2 clients in the Salon at the same time as we normally operate! This will determine our appointment capacity and allow us to decide on Staff shifts / Salon opening hours etc.
With regards the re-scheduling of appointments: When we are in a position to start this and we are already doing some preparation behind the scenes, we feel the only fair way to run the appointments is by initially contacting the clients who where initially affected by our closure due to lock down with appointments that were missed.
We are still awaiting lots more answers from the Government and National Hairdressers Federation that may drastically affect the way the Salon and Appointment Book operates on re-opening.
These are just a few of the sti
